Organisational Coaching

VG Leaders Aligned

What a group of people can achieve is limitless when they are aligned with a common purpose, equipped with the right tools & culture and committed to success.

At Vaughan Govier, our expertise and passion for management development is focussed on creating higher levels of performance for organisations as well as for individuals.
Creating successful organisations through organisational coaching is built on the essential principle that organisations only change when people change. Successful organisations create an environment where the right people are committed and energised to do the right things, together.

Achieving this goal requires a holistic approach that

  • engages both the individual and the organisation

  • links personal aspiration with the organisation's purpose

  • that creates an environment where the full capability of each individual can be tapped

  • aligns the energy of each employee to create synergy

We call this engagement Organisational Coaching.

How Does It Work?

Organisational coaching draws on a wide range of interventions and approaches to customise an engagement which is based on three essential principles:

  1. The most powerful engagements are holistic

The best outcomes are created by engaging the organisation as a whole and not just an individual component.

  2. The most sustainable outcomes are built on ownership within the organisation

Sustainable outcomes are created when we help managers and management teams make their own decisions and own the outcomes.

  3. The fastest and most efficient change is achieved focused and minimal engagement.

The best outcomes are created when we give organisations the essential input, and only the essential input at the key point it is required.

Think sports coach. Sometimes a training session is about individual plays, sometimes it's learning a skill, sometimes it planning the next game and other times it's developing fitness and strength. It is helping both the players and the team to be as strong as they possibility can.

An organisational coaching engagement is always tailored to the specific needs and context of the organisation. The engagement may draw on elements of individual coaching, team coaching, formal management development, a facilitated process or general facilitation.

Examples of organisational coaching engagements has example of the various ways that organisation coaching helps to strengthen decision making, strategy development and implementation, team cohesion and individual achievement within organisations.
