Management Behaviour Profile

Whom

For individuals who want to understand and gain awareness of their management behaviour, Vaughan Govier’s Management Behaviour Profile is a personality assessment which shows a view of personality preferences and managerial behaviours.

Based on the Enneagram of personality, the tool shows a person more than just their static personality. It provides deep self awareness and inner development.

Why

Do you seek peace in your environment or are you confrontational? Are you self-confident, self-controlled or self-absorbed? Do you seek to understand people or the world? You may be a little of everything, but your dominating trait defines how you work. Whatever your personality, it affects the people in your environment.

What

The Management Behaviour Profile is a powerful feedback tool that analyses your personality. It uses questionnaire to understand management behaviour in conducive and stressed environments. Unlike normal typologies, we do not force-categorise personalities nor limit a person’s categorisation. Instead, each personality is elaborated through its unique traits.

Our Management Behaviour Profile is simple to administer. Each person will be registered and receive an email that includes a link to an online questionnaire. Once the person completes the questionnaire, the results will be sent directly to us and we will prepare the report.

The report is presented through an individual briefing. These individual briefings are the most valuable part of the process and ensure full value is derived from the profile.

Management Behaviour Profile Journey

Management Behaviour Profile Journey

STEP 1: Our Worldview

Our personality is the result of nine influences known as the Nine Types. We have all nine influences to varying degrees. The dominant ones are seen more often and characterise our preferences or natural behaviour. The weaker influences are rarely seen and characterise unnatural or difficult behaviours.

STEP 2: Our Relationships

The influences on our personality drive our relationships with others. It influences our self-image, how we want others to respond to us and how we are likely to respond when people don’t respond this way. In step 2 we reveal how our personality influences helps and hinders our relationships with others.

STEP 3: Our Energies

We all have a range of behaviours and characteristics that we exhibit under different levels of stress or as our personal energy levels change. We may be happy when we are relaxed and revitalised. We may be grumpy when we are stressed and tired. Each type responds differently to changes in our personal energy. The tool show how a person is likely to change in response to different levels of stress or energy.

STEP 4: Our Competencies

As managers, we have inherent preferences and preferred behaviours which are based on our personality influences. Our Competencies section show how each different influence is likely to show in a person’s management and leadership competencies. Vaughan Govier is able to customised the understanding of each influence with a company’s in-house competencies.

Some of Vaughan Govier’s Competencies include:

  • Attention to Detail
  • Compliance Focus
  • Learning Agility
  • Effective Communication • Influencing Others
  • Providing Leadership
  • Politically Savvy
  • Drive for Results

STEP 5: Our Identity

Vaughan Govier’s Management Behaviour Profile is ultimately a self-discovery journey. There is no greater journey than the journey one takes understanding and discovering the inner motivations and behaviours. As we do, we can uncover areas we need development and create more self-awareness of our identity as a result.

SUCCESS STORY

Timberland - Management Behaviour Profile

Finance is the department with the reputation for boring. We can be tempted to think that they are a bunch of boring analytical spreadsheet maintainers. Look into a company with the credibility and brand of Timberland and that generalisation gets quickly disproved

CC Wars

It is a game we learnt and played as children. “I’ll tell mommy if you do that!” or “If you tell Dad, I will find and make your life miserable!” As an adult we continue to play the game with more sophisticated language. “I thought you should know what was happening”, “I need to keep you in the loop”.
